Adetoro Afonja holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agric Economics from the premier University of Ibadan. She commenced her banking career in the defunct Equitorial Trust Bank Limited in 2006. She worked in branches where she was saddled with the responsibilities of core banking operations, customercare services and branch operations till 2008.  Thereafter, she moved the marketing and credit department where she worked as a relationship manager in the retail segment growing the bank’s portfolio of retail and SME clients. Upon the merger of Sterling Bank and Equitorial Trust Bank in 2012, she joined the Corporate Banking Strategic Business Unit where she gained extensive experience in core credit, business development, consummation of trade transactions, facilitation of intervention loan from CBN and Bank of Industry, loan syndication with other banks for large ticket transactions as wellmanagement of corporate clients. The corporate clients of the bank whom she managed comprised the manufacturers, FMCG, upstream Oil and Gas and Agroprocessingfirms. She had attended several trainings on credit including the IBFC Agusto credit training, Moodys Training on International Trade Financing etc.  She’s currently working on her MBA degree from the University of Lagos. She joined the services of Vannesfield Limited in January 2024as Business Relationship Manager.
